Unplugged, In Utero, Bleach, and nevermind.
Like you said Unplugged just has this eerie aura about it, yet wonderfully calm. In Utero was a new direction they where heading. Bleach is just good punk fun. And like almost everyone, Nevermind is just too clean. |

Never been huge fan of Nirvana, this band just kind of missed me. But I really loved Unplugged when I was 15.

I'll admit, "Unplugged" was my first Nirvana experience & I'll always cherish that record., but hands down "In Utero" is my favorite. The lyrics are captivating, the music is intense, & beautiful at times. Just an all around amazing record.

On the occasions that I listen to Nirvana (which are rare these days), it's Unplugged that I will turn to. It has a certain purity that I like.

I'm hardly a fan, but I think that In Utero is the best thing that they put out. The other albums have some decent bits, but for consistency I just think In Utero has better songs and hangs together as an album more. It flows well.

Incesticide is the only one I listen to anymore. After exhausting Nirvana from the age of 5 to 16 and listening to shit loads of boots it's the only one that I can't get tired off.
Out of the ones there though I would say Unplugged, it's one of the best acoustic shows I've ever heard. I also listen to the Amsterdam Paradise show which is on the Live Tonight Sold Out Video, I just love the versions of Come As You Are and Sliver. |

I used to have some Nirvana albums some time ago but eventually got tired of them. BUT when I heard Unplugged for the first time I thought, "God, they have chords!". Hence, my favorite. Bleach was nice too.

In Utero by FAR.
It just sounds like Nirvana should sound in every other record they put out ( except the unplugged, duh... which is really good, but it's not 100% nirvana if you understand what I mean), and it's much more focused than bleach or nevermind.

yeh, the covers (that I like better than nirvana's songs on that album) and the fact that it's an album hardly comparable to the "electric" ones.

In Utero.
I dreamed that cantankerous came to my house and destroyed all my Nirvana albums, what a bummer.

Uh, so you created an unconscious connection between "cantankerous" and "utero"?

Appereantly. I didn't see her but when I came home all my Nirvana and Dino Jr. albums were destroyed with a post-it on it that said:"Cantankerous".
That bitch.

Not that I don't like Bleach but the album is kind of primitive in a way. Some of the songs sound like they have been made in 2 minutes.
To each his own I guess.
