I hate file sharing programs in general. The concept is fabulous and they'd be great if you didn't get 8000 fucking viruses, intrusion attempts etc.

I only use it when there a new album I want and I want to get it. Then I uninstall it completely and virus scan my stuff.

I am a bit paranoid about that kind of stuff. Better safe than sorry I guess. I hardly ever use Soulseek though, so it doesn't really make a difference to me.

Soulseek I believe is pretty safe, but it's the only one I've ever found that I can say that about. Though mIRC is pretty good, as far as I've been able to tell.
But I've abandoned all forms of file-sharing. I just buy now. If I really need to hear an album, I listen to iTunes samples, and maybe buy a song off it. But I feel rather cheap using p2p. It's not the real thing. |

Soulseek is good, but it frustrates the hell out of me from time to time.
Its not really user friendly. Yes, its simple in design and all that garbage, but some of the functions take some trial and error. |
