I prefer Greek food but Italy has larger ruins.

But everyone goes to fucking Italy and Greece is in financial turmoil.

I would go to Greece, personally, but Italy is probably the safer bet.

The Greek Islands can get really touristy in the summer, as well as unbearably hot. I personally prefer Greece but think Italy probably has more options (and shade). Although if you can avoid the lager-lout tourists and handle the heat, Greece really is amazing.

greece is on the verge of economic collapse (think: iceland) and might be easy on your wallet. unless daddy warbucks is footing the bill in which case go to the most expensive destination.
