When watching that footage, it feels like a send-up of grunge by the BBC. Maybe that's why Kurt has such a huge smile on his face at the beginning as he got the pisstake.

haven't seen that since it was first broadcast, didn't remember it being such a pisstake. i'm fairly sure it was the first time i saw or heard them.

The band were definitely taking the piss with their mime of the song, and the BBC seemed to be taking the piss out of grunge by featuring a group of teenage headbangers at the front of the crowd who invaded the stage right at the end of the song.
