Dear People,
I propose that everything that is not obvious has been copied, and everything that appears obvious is not real. I would love to hear your thoughts on this matter. Baby Lemonade. X |

My interest here is the Qabalistic qualities of certain slogans. Slogans with so many, often contradictory, interpretations, that when the mind attempts to process all that information in an instant, one is shaken out of the ruts of ordinary perception, and shown for a few timeless moments the outer and inner world, not as they appear to an animal obsessed with survival or to a human being obsessed with words and notions, but as they are apprehended, directly and unconditionally, by Mind at Large— this is an experience of inestimable value to everyone.
Everything obvious has indeed been invented.. Thank you, and good night. Baby Lemonade. X |

Confusing invention with innovation has instigated a misconception concerning the logical stages between the indescribable infinite (or Absolute) and the mundane reality. The finite mind of man is unable to grasp the Infinite, except in a certain Mystical and Spiritual manner, but by suspending disbelief we are able do our best to comprehend this great mystery of Invention. Rob Instigator, I must ask you a question - Have you ever eaten roast parsnips on a Sunday morning and wondered why there is water oozing from your pet dog's nostrils?
Thank you, Baby Lemonade. X |

Interesting query. I have never eaten roasted parsnips, and the cat's nose never ran.
To state that the universe is infinite, then to say the human mind is finite (mostly) to me means that the possibility for innovation is endless. sure each individual human;'s mind is finite, but no two minds are finite in the same way right? Only the lazy assume all has been done, all has been invented, all has been discovered. those people never DO anything, Invent anything, or discover anything.

"Only the lazy assume all has been done, all has been invented, all has been discovered.
those people never DO anything, Invent anything, or discover anything." I concur - But "Everything obvious has been invented" has contradictory interpretations, and interpretation is in the eye of the beholder. "Everything that is obvious is not real" is an alternative to your own. The Universe, for each one of us, consists of what we are able to comprehend of it. Perception of substance itself is considered as the most subtle in our make-up, while it would follow that the more this substance is extended, the greater will be our Illumination, the further our range of vision, and the wider our Sphere of Consciousness. "I have never eaten roasted parsnips, and the cat's nose never ran." This fresh revelation left me strangely silent. Thank you, Baby Lemonade. X |

The real nature of things is absurd. We are at sea in which no rational necessity can anchor us and no transcendental mysticism can provide us with a scope to find dry land. Pick up a paddle and row.
