ok, while I drink this shit too I try to do it sparingly..
I mean, people in America run away from tap water like they were in fucking Zimbabwe! I don't mind tap water at all, at home I use a water filter and keep it refrigerated... after all: "In summary, the manufacture and transport of that one kilogram bottle of Fiji water consumed 26.88 kilograms of water (7.1 gallons) .849 Kilograms of fossil fuel (one litre or .26 gal) and emitted 562 grams of Greenhouse Gases (1.2 pounds)" what are your opinions/habits?

i recently bought a 5-gallon GLASS bottle in a local water dispenser. every few days, i take that to my local co-op and fill it up at a filter station that takes from the tap but adds 2 processes: 1) reverse osmosis, 2) deionization. i end up with water that's free of chlorine, radon, and most nasty crap, for 39 cents a gallon. a bit of a bitch to carry, but can't beat the price. and it's not fucking plastic.
i also have a pur filter at home, but i don't trust it so much, so i was in a bottle water kick until i figured out the co-op was a better alternative. i don't trust the public water in my system. they recently switched from underground water to river water i believe. rivers! all kinds of shit goes into rivers, these days. but the deionization at the filter station removes even radon, so it's pretty safe. a little paranoia-- goes a long way. |

I bought a huge Arrowhead bottle a while ago that I still use. When it becomes too thrashed to use, I'll buy a new one. They are 99 cents at Stater Bros. Good deal, lots of water. Despite it being plastic, I think it is an okay use of water because I've used that bottle for about two weeks. Until I can find a better and more convenient way that doesn't involve plastic, this is probably the best way for me.

There should be a distinction between "mineral water" in a real glass bottle that is a delicious treat and then the mass marketing of plasticized water.

I drink from the tap. I don't mind. Though the water here for most parts is pretty clean. A little too much flouride in my opinion but what ever.

I don't mind tap water, but in certain parts of the country i.e. Denver, Phoenix, etc I only drink either filtered water or bottled water, cause that shit is NASTY.

I drink tap, though I do defer to bottled when tap is difficult to access.

i drink straight out of the tap at home, whether just a glass of water or for brewing coffee. Not sure what setups we have at work for filter stuff.

I've drank out of puddles before, so I've never been one to turn down the tap.

Tap water at home and work for me - bottled water when I can't get anything else otherwise. I also own a water flask, which I can fill with tap water at home before day trips etc.

I drink tap water at home and bottled water if there aren't any taps around. At work I drink bottled water from the water cooler.

If it's a hot day and I want some cold-ass water, then bottled will do nicely
