Your favourite cartoon tunes. I can't think of a lot right now, here's the first ones that come up:

I always loved the music in Ren and Stimpy. It was a mix of library music, including some themes that were hilariously obvious and ridiculous and didn't fit the scenes at all, and a mix of original music which was pretty.. wacky.
I also love the Rugrats music, composed by Mark Mothersaugh. Perfect actually. Doug's music.. at least the stuff by the Beets... The best, though, was the Looney Tunes stuff. Just unbelievable. |

Interesting thing about the Simpsons theme.. if I remember correctly, Matt Groening gave Danny Elfman a tape of songs he wanted Danny to reference for the theme, and I think Matt put the Residents on there as a reference point.
Closely related though not a cartoon is the music of Pee Wee's Playhouse... |

Hmm, you got the Looney Tunes right adam, they've got some brilliant music in there. Simpsons are also cool, especially the Itchy/Scratchy theme song, it ruels.
Old Marvel cartoons are also pretty cool. |

I love the music used in the old 1930s and 40s cartoons. There was always a certain amount of insanity to it. I also love how it would very often echo the actions on screen. The sounds of little steps and stuff.
