I like them okay, that's probably my favorite album by them actually, but a lot of their stuff doesn't suit my fancy.
Anyway... you'd probably like Plaid and Prefuse 73... artists who I think can be quite good but you know.. sometimes they're a bit... I can't put my finger on it... Anyway, I guess it would help to know what side of Mouse on Mars you like; the glitchier stuff, the weirder stuff, the more ambient stuff, but... I'll just go ahead and list some electronic artists I like a lot that you might like... I reccomend Eight Frozen Modules, U-Ziq, Funkstoreng (I can never spell his name right, but he has an excellent album called "Appetite for Discstruction"), Telefon Tel Aviv, Squarepusher, Arovane, Pan Sonic (though they're a bit harder to listen to than the other artists I'm listing), Autechre, Pole, Nobukazu Takemaru (though his work is a bit more ambient and glitchy than most of the artists I'm listing), Matmos, Cex (specifically "Role Model"), Aphex Twin, and the excellent Bogdan Raczynski. |

well on Idiology theres ambient stuff and the frantic stuff together. I like both but i dont think id like a whole album of either, i like that album because they do both really well. ive heard Prefuse 73 but it didnt do much for me, i dunno i guess its best to head onto some myspace profiles.

Yeah I'm not a big fan of Prefuse or Plaid but their stuff seems to be more in the vein of what Mouse on Mars does as compared to something like Autechre..
Happy listening! |

Autoditacker is my favorite by them. Varshaz is pretty good too if you're interested in an angsty side of MOM. I'll second Matmos as well.
