My ex-wife just called me and told me our cat Spicoli, who we have had since he was a kitten, got into some household cleaner and was poisoned, and died. he was 12+ years old
now I am depressed. fuck. first my kitty girl runs away (age 14+) and now my kitty-boy. nothing's easy nothing's fair learn it, live it.

i had a cat named Fur Face. My parents got her before i was born and she died when i was 15. That was really really sad.
Hopefully Fur Face and Spicoli are having some fun in kitty heaven. I have posted this before, but this was Fur Face. |

I never heard of a cat dying that way, how bizarre. And my sympathies to you.

I feel sorry for you, Rob.
You should get a turtle, it can live for a long time. And it can't lick its shell off. |

no offense taken at all man. Thanks to everyone. My ex-wife (divorced for a year) had just moved to dallas and I had not seen Spicoli since around mid-september. I remember before he was born I told my friends Dianna and Donald that I would take any black cat born to their cat who was very pregnant. I had never owned a cat before, and I was around 22 years old and a year away from getting married. He was the only black kitten in the litter. I'm babbling. sorry.

That sucks. I had the best cat in the world who we got from the humane society, and he was an outdoor and he (at least this is what the vet believed) licked some pesticide (!!!!) so we had to put him down. It was the day before/of 9/11, too.
I have two cats and a dog and one of the cats sleeps with me a lot and I can't imagine losing him. I'm with Emily in that I get more sad when pets die than when people die. |

My cats (Smokey and Buttercup) have now become my parents cats by location. Now I want a new pet.
You don't have to call before to hang out with a cat. And a cat doesn't give you shit about not having cleaned the dishes yet. |

Whatever you do, get it from the Humane Society. Pet stores are overpriced and they treat their animals horribly.
