I got rid of my car and ride a very high-geared single speed bike everywhere, and I work a job that is physically demanding.
That's about it. Before I got the job, I weighed about 25 pounds more than I do now. |

Since moving I have:
- Become vegetarian by default. The vegetarian entrée is the only one with any flavour. I could give a hell about the animals. -Started walking everywhere. -Started working out in the gym almost everyday on the elliptical. |

I eat a vegan diet and have for the last eight years or so (vegetarian since 1988), but that didn't stop me from getting heavy.

Did you eat alot of those foods that are made to simulate "real" meat?
Most of those are just as bad if not worse than real meat and are really high in sodium. I was vegan for 15 minutes in highschool, but quit as soon as I started getting fatter from eating those various contradictory foods like soy turkey and spinach McNuggets. |

Not so much.
Some of them are OK once in a while, but overall I like other options. I likes the foreign foods. |

Yeah, you can be a veg and still eat like shit.
I'm eating a brownie right now. This is like my fifth today >< I should probably start trying to get in better shape. I hate my love handles. |

I moved out of home and into town and walked nearly everywhere. Got lean and fairly toned. Now I'm about to move back home and I'm hoping I can remain fit. I also follow a vegan diet, and have so for the past 9 or so years, but that hasn't stopped my weight from flucuating like Oprah Winfrey. Actually I've never been fat whilst vegan, there's just times when I'm not toned/fit. But I also don't drink like a motherfucker these days.

I dropped my fitness class. I didn't like using the machines.
My weight has always been in the same range. We don't have a scale at my house. I can tell how much I weigh by how my jeans fit. It differs depending on what my diet looks like at any given time.

I'm the type that if I don't excerise, as in if I drive everywhere and be lazy, I won't get fat, but the muscles which I have (which is very little) turns to fat. Annoying. My girlfriend can eat shit and drink whatever she wants without excerise and she's fit and toned and perky. Some of my firneds are like this too - they can eat whatever the hell they want and drink booze every night and day and they still maintain a lean body. Those are the breaks though, I guess.

When I had the job listing KollektorWax on the internets, I went to the gym 3 or 4 times a week, and while it helped me feel like I was doing something, and while I noticed some improvement in energy levels, I didn't lose weight and gain muscle to the point that I have since returning to good old fashioned Manual Labor.

since i spend all fakkkin day in front of the numputer, i've started to go o the gym 3 times a week.
first i did this monster fast where i lost the 50lbs i had accumulated over last winter (i do have ursine genes, though i don't exactly hibernate), with this dexto and shit, but then, i picked up a it of weight again & didnt feel like going thru that again. so i did the gym. i do these various machines etc to cover all muscle groups and then im the fuck out of there. oh there is also a treadmill, but i hate that. basically ihate to waste a lot of my time "working out". i love new york because you walk all day but you walk somewhere. unfortunately i dont live there. same thing with the clone's manual labor-- it accomplishes something. working out like a hamster on a wheel is necessary but fakkin stupid and a waste of time-- do i need to waste more hours on personal hygiene every day? no. well yes. so i do. annoying. |

Me too, and it's been beneficial for both my head and physique. The public transport is so rubbish in London, I've decided to make up for the lack of time to exercise by walking as much as I can. You get to places on time and it's beneficial for your body and well being. Highly recommended. |

i go to the gym at least 5 times a week. i have a hard time making myself do anything but the arc trainer. (it's similar to the elliptical) it just burns sooooo many calories and it's such a hard work out that i can really tcb. i'd have to run for an hour and a half to do as much work as i do on that thing in 45 minutes. i also lift weights, but i really prefer weight machines to free weights since they control your movements better. i also walk a lot for work and take a lot of stairs.. which can be pretty gruesome due to the shoes i choose to wear.
as far as eating... i'm not as hardcore as i used to be about stuff. i just try to burn it off. i don't really like meat, but do occasionally eat it. |
