just to repeat,
in America, there are over 30,000 hand gun deaths a year. in America, 1 out of 5 people are hungry. in America, 2 out of 5 people are poor. in America, 1 out 20 people can not read in America, 1 out 30 people might not even be a citizen in America, 1 in 100 people are presently incarcerated. in America, millions of people are forced to live under the CONFEDERATE FLAG, as it is the STATE FLAG OF THREE STATES in the US..... yes, I'd say the shit is about to hit the fan....

how is that made up? Texas, a state with money and power and resources has over 5 million people with no health insurance. About 1.6 million of those are children under the age of 18.

No reason to panic. Not when you sleep with a loaded 12-guage shotgun lying by your side like I do. No, sir.

In all seriousness, I think this country is about one pistol shot away from a bloodbath in the streets and a storming of the palace guard on Capitol Hill.

When I went to NY the metro was full of people who said they had been sucessful in the past, but some of them were short of an arm of things like that. Whether their stories were true or not there seems to be no support for people who've been in such accidents. You never see things like that in London, and its far more difficult to be actually booted out on the street. For the most developed nation in the world, its a disgrace. |

thats like saying its ok to shoot yrself in the head to kill yrself quickly because yr trapped in a burning building, and well, everyone else is burned worse then you and only you have the gun for the quick way out.... wouldn't it be better for all if you just put out the fire? it also sounds like you learned about welfare from some racist middle class white americans who bitch and moan about a welfare system that they have never seen, used, and therefore no nothing if the failures of the said system to alleviate the poor.... i

I always think it'd be cool to be trapped in a kind of video game situation. eg if a civil war broke out and survival was hit or miss. As long as you were armed, WHAT A WAY TO GO! And the world is over populated.

........ yeah we got emergency rooms all right, like Martin Luther King Jr here in LA. it receives the most gun shot victims anually (which says something about the town I live in) in America, and is also one of the most frequent ER for the uninsured. two weeks ago it was national news how they let the poor woman die on waiting room floor. this is nothing new for MLK. people die there waiting for care all the time. so the state wants to shut it down. but the poor in Los Angeles have no where else to turn to for literal emergencies but MLK, and so there is uproar over the prospect of it closing by August. The people are rightfully asking where is it they are supposed to go instead? see the trouble is that they, in the most developed nation on earth, have to result to near third world standards, and though they may not have to walk 15 miles to the only doctor like in rural Africa or South America, they still risk their very lives going to the ER. it is the reality of going to the hospital for the poor, and the hospital is somewhere you usually go only when you ABSOLUTELY have too, to begin with!
