from the end of a DDN reissue message i got from Sonic Youth's myspace:

(a bunch of stuff about DDN that has already been posted on this board)

Sonic Youth are excited to announce a NYC performance of the Daydream Nation
album: July 28 at the McCarren Park Pool in Greenpoint, Brooklyn with The
Slits opening. Tickets
are now available. Additional Daydream Nation performances in the USA include
July 13 at the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago with GZA and Slint, on
July 19 at the Berkeley Community Theater in Berkeley, CA and July 20 at
the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles with Redd Kross performing 'Born Innocent'.

NEW GOODS AT THE SY.COM STORE

Newly available at the SY store
is a plethora of ever-changing T-shirt designs, CD's and Vinyl including
'Rather Ripped', and the 'Destroyed Room' 2xLP, and the soon-to-be available
'Daydream Nation' 4xLP box set and more.

SYR: THE FUTURE

Sonic Youth are putting the finishing touches on upcoming releases SYR 7
and 8. More news on these two freaky releases in the future. Now we gotta

I like the "freaky" description... anyone want to put a guess on what they might be?

Not much chance on that Brigitte Fontaine collaboration ever getting clearance I suppose, but around the same time they were talking about releasing J'accuse Ted Hughes and some "unreleased studio jam" as a SYR. Can't think of much else now.
