Smashing Pumpkins Announce Album Title, Release Date

Smashing Pumpkins announced via MySpacebulletin this morning that they will release a new album, Zeitgeist, on July 7 of this year. 07-07-07! How'd they land that lucky date? Well kids, it's a Saturday, proving that Billy Corgan, Jimmy Chamberlin, and whoever the hell else is in the band think they are above and beyond the ways of the music industry (most albums come out on Tuesdays, see). Thanks to various reader tips for keeping us posted on this info.

Im excited about this, Im keeping an open mind to the music until I actually hear it.

My god i'm excited about this too.
Two of the most wanted albums 2007 is the swedish band Kents new album, and The Smashing Pumpkins.

I love 2007.

I'm a big fan of the Pumpkins, but I don't exactly care for this new album. They call it a reunion, yet it's only 2 of the 4 members (who aren't dead either)

smashing pumpkins somngs were 99% written, recorded by uncle fester himself, corgan

he cannot play drums though, so they do not need James (I suck ass at guitar) Iha, and D'Arcy (I am only in this band because corgan used to fuck me in the ass and then I fucked Iha)
