this board helps a lot actually. i find out about a lot of new music here that i love. it's easy cause once you have one band in common (sonic youth), you'll find bands that are similar or equally good.

Yeah I've tried Pandora, (listening to it right now, Bardo Pond station,) and I wonder, why don't I like these bands? What the hell do they have in common with the band-station I keyed? Why did I think a Pandora stranger could find music I'd enjoy? (Why do I still believe SY fans can key me on to lovely tunes?) Answers dammit, answers!!

Pandora is disapointing..... in the way wanting Transformers for Christmas and getting Polly-Pocket, well, okay, Bible Story coloring books instead is.

What if I'm not 7 inch and I'm not punk? (silence). Thanks though, I checked it and it looks good, as long as it's boiled or bleached.

Well, there's my radio show for one, which streams live at Noon Pacific Time on Saturdays, and otherwise has tons of streams and downloads archived for your convenience.
I love Dr. Yo! He does regretably play the occasional Offspring song, but otherwise it's an amazing mix of everything from '60s electronic composers to '80s post-punk classics to current stuff that doesn't suck. Epitonic goes long stretches without updating, but their back catalog of MP3s is still pretty amazing. |
