Seriously though, some glues work by “drying” out (in fact the solvent evaporates, concentrating the chemicals). Some work by reacting chemically with the air (oxidation) to change the chemicals into adhesives. When glue is inside the bottle the solvent can’t evaporate, nor can the air get to the chemicals, so until they come out, they won’t stick! |

Pookie, you must answer for me this question;
If life is truly as short as people say, then why is the night so long? I fear I am sleeping away hours that could have been put to better use. D. J. Fitzgerald |

What are you doing here, Pookie? I thought you couldn't access the board from work, and that Wednesdays were your day off?

No I can't access the board from work, and haven't been able to for quite some time. And yes, I normally have Wednesdays off, but I'm having a few days off to use up my holiday entitlement. |

* I went to get a pizza and watched the three people preparing the pizza as they shoved their hands down the front of their trousers before going back to putting toppings on. I think they were comparing trouser bagginess. |

Pans & Company is a leading Spanish chain of gourmet custom-made sandwich shops. Customers can select from a wide choice of sandwich fillings which is freshly prepared in front of the guest on a delicious ‘just baked’ crunchy baguette

Dear Pookie,
I've recently lost my ability to use my left hand in an arm-wrestling match. Should I get a prosthetic hand or just a plain old hook, much like the kind that pirates of old used. Keep in mind I'm also currently in a wheelchair and have no prospect of being out of one for a long long time. Sincerely, Fillmore J. Whiggins |
