for those interested:
on WFMU: Coming up on Brian Turner's show Tuesday, September 27, 3-6pm: an exclusive broadcast of Dutch avant-punks The Ex live December, 2010 from the circus-tent atmosphere of All Tomorrows Parties at the Butlins resort in Minehead, England. For over 30 years this anarchic band has roamed a wilderness of free sounds that have included collaborations with everyone from Tom Cora, Han Bennink, Getatchew Mekuria and more; they've performed live on Brian's show in 2006 previously, and headlined an incredible WFMU 50th Anniversary show in 2008 live at Lincoln Center that brought over an arsenal of kindred spirit Ethiopian musicians. Today's broadcast from Minehead showcases new singer/guitarist Arnold deBoer and finds the Ex as a quartet in total attack mode! |
