im not dissing steve west with my plea to get gary in the reunion..yr missing the point.. the original line up was with gary young therefore a pavement reunion should be with him...westie is great but he came after young for crcr...ive seen pavement with young and with west....both fucking brillinat gigs but we need the plantman back for one last skateboarding tea making set!

Not knacking Steve West; He's a good drummer; But Gary Young is a lot better I think, weirdness and all. His stuff on Slanted is so underrated.

gary young's work on slanted is probably one of the best achievements of any single member of pavement in their entire career. they didn't tell him what to play at all, he just completely improvised with really great fills and it turned out wonderful.
where the fuck IS gary young these days though?
