So basically, I went to the FNAC to buy that Magik Markers CD I saw there a few days before (For Sada Jane). There was a "Green Price" sticker on it, saying it was 14€, so I thought "good, I won't spend 22€ on it". So I paid it, but when I wanted to get off the store, some security folk told me to follow him. My brother and I were accused of placing than "Green Price" sticker on the CD to pay it less than its actual value, so we had to admit that we've done it when I actually didn't (we had no way to prove it wasn't us). Then we had to wait till our uncle came to get us off, as none of me and my brother has 18 year old (my mother is away in weekend), and if he couldn't come, we would be sent to the police for 48 hours. Finally I'm off, but I'm fucking angry. That means that you just have to place a Green price sticker on a CD, and the people that's going to buy it will lost an hour with the security. Also I wanna say fuck you to the cashier: when she saw that Green Price sticker she could just have said to us "Well that's not the actual price", instead of calling the security.
So fuck the FNAC. |

fuckit man, why did you let them treat you that way? did they have PROOF you did it? a camera? that's fucked up. ok youre a minor but don't let these assholes treat you that way.
if they have no proof of what you did they shouldn't be making these accusations and you should make a complaint. yeah, you should do it, not your mother-- send a formal letter of complaint telling your story, complain to whatever business association there is, and promise to foulmouth it on the internet. as the ugly american likes to say, don't get mad-- get even. |

Uh yeah I know I shouldn't have let them treat me like this, but what I wanted really is just to get off the place, I did not wanted to have to deal with the police or whatever... Now I realise as well I shouldn't have tore the copy of the official paper they gave me cause it could have been a proof in my favor, I'm probably just weak

Sorry to hear about this dude. You should have told them to fuck off, and give you the price.

Yeah, I will. The worst part was that those security guys seemed like bastards. Finally we talked a little bit with one of the guy and he was like "Yeah I hate socialists, communists, if I ever see Besancenot [he's the leader of a neo-communist party, to say things clearly] I would spit on his face". I prefered not to mention I was actually into that category of people

Yeah probably, that's not my point, but you can see the stupidity of this guy with these few sentences - there are other things that confirmed me that impression

Well in this world the number of stupid people outnumber those of smart people.

Once a security guy thought I had stolen a correction pen (I had brought one in order to fill up a check for concert tickets - you couldn't use a bank card for them) and he made me go into a room on the side of the shop and wanted to intimidate me (you know I can call the police and so on), all that for a 1€ pen. He really acted like an idiot, I tried to explain to him that I stole nothing but it was as if I was necessarily guilty for him. I finally got out of it when he checked that the pen wasn't from the shop. He didn't even apologise then.
A pretty embarrassing situation, in which you can feel some people abuse their power.

I once bought Pills'n'Thrills and Bellyaches by the Happy Mondays for $10. The person at the counter didn't zap the barcode or whatever properly, and as I went to walk out of the shop, the security things went off. None of my parents were around at the time, so I must have looked pretty suspicious. It took a while for the security guard to realise that the receipt I had was relevent to the CD I had.

I think bullying can't work twice.
The maddening part is people never apologize for making mistakes. I got that no excuse bit myself too, at the FNAC 10 years ago, after a guy checked the 45" I had bought, thinking it was too cheap. He came back, said it was OK, handed the record to the security guy to tell me to leave now. That monkey of yours should know that his behaviour feeds his "socialio-communist" enemies. Next time, if there's a next time, you'll surprise them, being prepared. I'd add that I once stole and got caught, before your birth; it seemed natural to be threatened at that time; but the message wasn't that blown out of proportion - 48 hours at the police? Do they really think they're giving the police orders? |
