i love this completely insane man. not only has he produced and co-wrote a ridiculous amount of hit records from elp to kiss to nirvana, he's also made some of the most fucked up, uncommercial solo albums i have ever heard:
and sorry kids, the original version of bubblegum is waaaay better than SY's version.

Yes...there are Kim Fowley albums EVERYONE should own and hear...and there are also Kim Fowley albums that should be avoided. But overall..the man has produced some sonic catastrophes that are worthy of greatness.

Lest we forget he also brought us the Runaways... Cherry Bomb is one of my favourite songs from the 70's...
Edit:... also it kind of reminds me of What A Waste (musically)

i bought the outrageous/good clean fun CD, it's a good mix of insanity. i cannot llisten without laughing when he says some of that stuff. 'animal man' is one of my favortie songs ever. polaroid people is a great one too: "i am the goat man- goitgoibagoigoy- talking about everything he saw when he was stoned in high school"
and of course, the first person to comment is baby bulldog. iggy pop once said, 'kim fowley is bullshit, but he's a good bullshit'

Chances are even if you own a bad Kim Fowley album, there are bound to be a few gems on it.
