Looks like my dream world where no more output of theirs would exist has been dashed to pieces.
Goat Rock resurgence here we go. |

This sort of thing screams SXSW 2015......but they're not playing any shows in Texas, California or anywhere South of Denver. |

I was sort of joking. Then I go to their newly re-launched website and see you can get a free song if you sign up...with Facebook!
So now I mean it. Sell outs. Can't let the legacy be. Gotta cash in on it. UG, I say! |

No LA show??????
Sure fucking glad I went to Ex-Hex last week and Corin Tucker Band last year and Wild Flag the year before that, or I'd never get my SK fix!

You must spread some Goats around before giving them to Savage Clone again.

The goat is stevie nicks! Corin is just half goat half riot grrl.. also if you listen to Kill My Blues she has toned down the goatness.. to be perfectly honest I dont like the new song particularly but I know the record will be fantastic.. musically carrie and corin have both grown and developed a lot in past 10 yeara since SK so this should be a progression. However, I think Corin's solo music really benefited from adding a bass, so did Mary timony in ex-hex compared to her songs in wild flag. Shit, who am I fuxcking kidding ex-hex kicks so much ass right now im not sure even a new SK record can beat it

watched the video. the song is okay, though the intro & repeating "..." (i don't know what is the name of that musical structure is but you'll hear it) borrows heavily from this relic:
http://youtu.be/NnHu-WLvY5U which i think is hilarious. |

^ Ha! I thought it sounded like shitty Modest Mouse, but i think you're closer to the truth.
My beef: They used to stand for something. Now Carrie's a celebrity. A different band entirely. |

Carrie would be a celebrity no matter what music she put out these days, new Sleater-Kinney is still new SK, should she just stop being a musician because of her acting popularity?

No, she should quit the acting or focus on one at a time and no, portlandia aside she'd hardly be.a.celebrity

That's muy point though, she did Portlandia, and the popularity of that show has garnered her a new audience, but if music is her first love should she not do music AND Portlandia? Do we make the same demands of people like Tom Waits, Iggy Pop, or even Kim Gordon?
