Just get a fucking pod. You can get a pedal to control it and you don't even have to worry about all that shit.

I had a Line 6 amp that is basically a pod with a speaker. It's definitely versatile, but left something to be desired - the effects sounded bad to me, so I never used them after the inital novelty wore off. I like real pedals better, but the pod is definitely nice for having a variety of sounds in one box. I actually also have the Behringer ripoff of the pod (V-Amp) that I only use on vocals cuz It's hard to get good sounds out of on guitars.

I never play live, so I have a $100 modeler that suits my needs just fine. That being said, it's pretty shitty. But I've messed around with some high end pods and they're pretty nice. Expensive, though. Buying a pedal or two at a time can be better financially.

Yeah, I have a Beheringer digital amp. At first, I was really excited thinking I would have all this effects without spending alot of money on pedals. Then after a while, I got pretty dissapointed. The effects do suck pretty bad. I really only use the distortion effects, delay, and the first 20 or so effects (like concert, reverb, plate, etc.) |
