''The way we see it, indie rock at its core and at its best is a grassroots movement. It's uncorrupted and uncompromising art rock that thrives on a direct relationship between those who have something rare to give and those who want to support it."
This is so hyperbolic, I'm imagining a hair metal head saying it. UNCOMPROMISING RAWK! YEAH, DUDE! It's so laughable and divorced from what currently comprises indie rock. |

I might check it out, if i have the chance. There could be some info and criticism on bands i like (especially oldies) and the context in which they all bloomed. The fact that it apparently would include loads of stuff on bands from the last two decades kind of kills my interest in this movie, though.

That director/producer is kinda comes off as a tool and if he says indie rock one more time I'm gonna strangle him. This documentary's rare footage is insane, hopefully it with have a lot of it, even if the overall premise is pretty lame. Two big thumbs up for Blues Explosion getting credit.

As far as im concerned they can make it end at '94. A trilogy attempt seems kind of overelaborated.
