Yeah, I know a ton of people really get inspired by my fashion choices around here, heh!
I know you were just asking a simple question. No offense taken. |

Melody Maker
August 13th, 1994 HOLE HIRE MARK E'S MISSUS HOLE look close to hiring ex-Fall bassist Brix Smith following auditions with her in Seattle. Smith, the ex-wife of Mark E Smith, is rehearsing with the band this week. Insiders say she was picked after two weeks of intense auditioning carried out by Hole guitarist Eric Erlandson. She will make her debut with the band at a secret London warm-up show with The Lemonheads - possibly at the Mean Fiddler in the week before the Reading Festival. The news comes in the same week that Courtney played two impromptu perfomances in the US, one at Lollapalooza and another in a small club in Philadelphia. Courtney Love turned up unexpectedly at the Lollapalooza site in Philadelphia's FDR Park last Monday (August 1). She hung out backstage with Billy Corgan before announcing that she wanted to play. She went on, solo, between sets by the Beastie Boys and Smashing Pumpkins. She performed two songs, "Doll Parts" and "Miss World". In between the songs, she asked the audience for a minute's silence for her husband and the capacity 30,000 crowd acknowledged her wishes. A member of the crowd told The Maker: "It was just so eerie. The whole place was completely still, it was a really emotional moment." The previous evening, Courtney had turned up unannounced and played three songs at the Philadelphia club, JC Dobbs. The Maker's Everett True just happened to be passing, literally. His review appears on page 13. Finally, reports that Courtney has been spending time in a monastery have proved to be innacurate. It seems that after investigating Buddhism, Richard Gere, also a Buddhist, lent her one of his houses to live in. It's rumoured that Courtney is to donate one of her houses to a West Coast Buddhist group. Hole appears on the main stage at the Reading Festival on Friday, August 26.

Yeah yeah,i heard the story(AT THE TIME!!).What i'm saying is that she didn't make it into the band because she thinks that Courtney Love is an arsehole.
