No, just know about it. Always wanted to go...especially for the Rothko Chapel. Been to the Rothko room in the Modern Wing at the Nat'l Gallery though.

Some people I know just moved to Houston.

I'm not religious so I didn't stay and pray or anything but yeah it was deffinitley a pretty awesome place. that's pretty cool, where do they live?

Everyone I've ever asked here that's from Houston has never been.

This one guy starryeyedwanderer (or something, I might be misremembering) one time delivered a bootleg to a friend of mine out there once though. He was pretty cool and a guitarist.

I caught one part of the opening ceremonies today with the dancers drawing with their bodies on the enormous LED screen. See that part?

no, not wrong thread...I am opposed to some of the hateful sentiments expressed in that other one so I refuse to bump it. This is not directed at you, but allow me to just remark on how soon people forget.

...just general conversational writing about something current and of the day, which, I suppose is germane to this thread in that sense.

we were all cheifed last night watching the opening

at one point this massive sphere thing came out of the ground and we all got into this talk about how its world reveal of Aliens and that the chinese are the first to show the world

and america had their finger on the red button to launch a nuke if they did

NBC is showing some footage now and they just were playing Grateful Dead's "China Cat Sunflower" along to it. hee

I understand why some made the comments they made in that other thread, but the bottom line is that two wrongs do not make a right.

And no, I cannot be convinced otherwise.
