I received in the mail today a book I was very lucky to win on the Ebay, the firts printing of Gods of Earth & Heaven by Joel Peter Witkin, signed!
This fucker is out of print and I have wanted one ever since my friend Barnaby Struve showed me it in 1992. If you do not know his work he is one twisted fuck, born in 1939, he photographs some insane shit. This book goes for over $200 and I managed to get it for just $25 due top slight water damage, but I could giove a fuck about the water damage! Here are some of his works.

I have had Gods Of Earth and Heaven for quite a few years. I enjoy Witkin's work a great deal. I wish I would have gotten "Sleeping Beauty" (Witkin edited this great book of vintage post-mortem portraits) when I had the chance.
Nice score, Rob! |
