It definitely sounds like a drum machine to me...
I know the chords for the verses from the live version... he seems just to bash out chords when they play live. |

And a real drummer wouldn't play so boringly either... the live version has real drums and sounds you know, LIKE A DRUMMER PLAYS IT! Not to mention drums have natural reverb and whatnot whereas that has none.

Actually, the drum sounds are EXACTLY like the drums on LANGUAGE FOR WORMS by RUINHORSE. I'm pretty pink reason used fruity loops real drumkit for the drum samples!
