Are you sure it is not just a hangover? They have the same symptoms according to google: "chronic pain, brain fog, shortness of breath, chest pain, and intense fatigue". The cure is beer in belly. Just remember, a beer a day keeps the covid-fucks at bay

are you biohacking for this? (i remember this was a longstanding interest of yours)

i got covid last year, it was not brutal thanks to vaccine, but still felt the punch and it lingered a bit. it wasn't "the flu", i kick the flu in 2-3 days, this was longer and more bothersome

i supplemented glutamine and whey protein, omega3/vitd (always), ate a lot of ginger/garlic/onion/citrus/peppers, limited sugar (but took in some medicines), slept extra

kicked it in like... a week, it was? but for a week it was a vacation in bed. then another week before resumed (some) exercise. another third week to be fully recovered

how long is it taking you?

anyway some links

glutamine https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6266414/

whey https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7835905/

alliums https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4417560/

ginger "possible" antiinflammatory https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/heal...inger-benefits

etc etc

oh, if exercise defeats you, lower intensity to just stretching to keep the lymphatic system taking out the garbage

i expect from you a vigorous discussion of the subject hahaha. but seriously feel free to question/criticize/whatever

oh um i also ate a bunch of blueberries, rich in salicylates (aspirin, antiinflammatory)

saltwater gargles... help the throat stand victorious lol

wow ty!

i'm doing a lot of biohacking atm. gender stuff.

i'm trying to follow robert lustig's diet advice. but i will take some of these supplements. food is def the biggest factor in how i feel each day.

i'm vaxxed and i moderate my exercise now.

i tried keto, vegan, loads of them. keto almost worked. lustig has some good info on why it might have failed. what im doing now is trying to avoid UPF and go as close to natural as possible, brown rice, veg, fresh fish, chicken, fruit. also berries and some nuts and seeds

years later looking up beatriz preciado i found paul preciado instead. makes total sense, knowing the allure that magic gel

the supplements are not unreal food. i'll clarify them a bit, maybe you can fit them in

-glutamine is not an essential aminoacid, but it's made by the body, as an immune and gi fuel. it's made in greater quantity when sick or injured, so it makes sense to help the body a bit and there is evidence that it helps.

there are glutamine-rich foods like chicken (chicken soup is folk medicine) and many others. spinach for example. but when sick and tired, cooking is hard, yeah? so i think supplementation when diseased is not wrong

you can als9 have it to keep your system up when fasting or have low appetite or don' want to eat too many calories etc.

-whey is 20% of milk protein. the other 80% is caseine. they are separated whe making cheese ("curds and whey"'). cheese, kasse, queso = caseine (plus fat).

so anyway whey is fast absorbing easy to digest and an immune booster. caseine is slow absorbing and great for muscle building.

you could just drink milk, but milk has a lot of lactose, and is hard to digest.

whey isolate has almost zero lactose and is friendlier (and yes rich in glutamine). bodybuilders use it for recovery because fast absorption. it's not a meal replacement really, just an extra boost.

some cheeses are actually made from whey protein but why pay more? since whey is a byproduct from cheese making it's a very economical high quality easily absorbable protein which otherwise wouls ne discarded. you could make paneer at home and gulp the liquid instead but oooof, so much liquid. i'd rather have a scoop of whey. especially if sick

-garlic onion ginger etc are real food. garlic consumption improves gut biome btw, which is important for immunity.

my covid eradication protocol combined boosting/feeding my t-cells while trying to modulate the inflammatory response. inflammation is how the body defends itself, but it's also how covid harms, so for me it was a bit about surfing the balance of response/nonresponse. totally invented this for myself but it worked hahaha

but yeah glutamine and whey to feed the killer cells, plants and herbs to regulate cytokines. it is not unreasonable/injectable bleach

yeah i do a mostly keto most of the day, and limit feeding hours, but from huberman i learned to eat a bit of carbs in the evening to increase serotonin and help sleep

my favorite carb to eat for health (not fun) is hulled barley, the slowest carb of all, and the first grain humans domesticated... pressure cooks 3:1 in about 20m and the glycemic index is like... 22, ridiculously low. it's what people use to make beer. i eat it same as rice but it's... oh it's what gladiators used to eat btw. they were "barley men" (hordearii) https://archive.archaeology.org/0811...gladiator.html i just dont eat so much lol
