The most criminally underrated band of the last 5 years, without whom thered be no Klaxons, Art Brut or other such trendy bastards. They rocked and i love them.

chat and business is fucking class,
i saw ikara colt live a few years ago opening for amen, i couldnt understand why they were on tour with amen and it seemed like i was the only person there that actually liked them, it was awesome though. i bougth thier single for modern feeling too, still to get thier other stuff, theyre miles better than art brut or the klaxons easy. |

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to the ikara cult again.

I didn't even know they split up...
I saw them live in London a few years ago and they were good. I remember hearing they spent a fortune for Modern Apprentice artwork, they kinda ruined themselves with it. At the Lodge is my favorite, and I listened to Waste Ground a lot too.

They broke up because when they formed the band they decided to be around for a maximum of 5 years. Coherent bastards. I quite like both albums, but chat and businness is my fav, it brings back good memories. I have some nice live pics i took at a festival here in italy, I'll scan them and post some here.

Not underrated by any means... probably rated just right. Extremely popular and prolific amongst "hipsters". Mainstream U.S. shit mag Alternative Press ran 50 stories about them. And NME came over 'em.
Either way, I love this band.. chat and business is fucking awesome. Every song on it is great. I learned to play most of the songs on guitar. The next album wasn't as good, but it did have that amazing song that was "there's a long long way to go." Also worth checking out is all the b-sides they put out.. some of 'em are just as good as songs on the albums proper. There's some amazing ikara colt website with tabs, lyrics, mp3's, etc, i think there's a link on their wiki. |

i love chat and business but i thought the silver one, cant remembr name, fell short a bit dispite a lovely package.....
underrated, i dont know, i kinda agree with adam on that one. for that glut of britcore indie bands underrated would equal mclusky for me, and they are no more either! |
