It's hard for me to pick between Lou the redhead and Lou-meets-Dr. Frankenfurter.

I love Lou's dance moves in the first clip - definitely dancing to his own beat, and no that of the song he's singing. My fave be clip 3 - it's lovely.

Edit - mehr Reed und Cale:

It's a sweet version of Berlin, most definitely. They used to have to drag him on stage because he was always off his face. Did you read of when he stopped one of his shows and asked for money he thought he was owed from this guy at his record company, who happened to be in the crowd? Apparently he's been embarassed by that ever since.

No, I hadn't heard of thaht. Ha! Is that not Nico in the clip I've posted up? If so, you can see the effect of smack-taking on her already.

Yeah, that's her. Talking of Nico, i read that some reissues are on the way. She wasn't very kind on her appearance, let's put it this way.

Yeah, I think they've just come out. I'm sure that "Marble Index" is one of them.

Marble Index is already out and it has only 2 bonus tracks on it. They could have done a little better than that, especially because it is one the greatest records evEr made and better than everything than Cale and Reed's solo albums.

Maybe there wasn't that much in the way of out-takes? Still, I'm sure the addition of live performances wouldn't have hurt. It is a decent record, though. Not heard much in the way of Cale's solo stuff, or Reed's , come to think of it. Liked "New York", I have to admit.

#3 all the way, but he's singing "Berlin" which to me is a much better album than Street Hassle (which is still damn good.) I had no idea he played a concert with Cale in '72. The myth is that they still hated each other at that point. And even Nico looking on - weird.

The Bataclan record has also been released commercially and it's not hard to find.
