There's an article on this week's NME about Kim Gordon called'What rock'n'roll taught me'.Here's one of her responses to that question:
NEVER GO TO A BABYSHAMBLES GIG: ''Pete Doherty's cliched-up.We met at a festival in Norway and he was just a big dough boy with a doughy face.He saw Thurston, asked him how old he was and was like,''OH!GOD!'',like he couldn't believe that anyone can live that long.I guess that's understandable if you are Pete.'' |

Kim on not knowing the darkest side until you've experienced something.
Being in the snakepit at a Metallica gig ''I've been there. They were doing this tour with a circle stage, with a pit in the middle for the guestlist.Flea from Chilli Peppers was there and must have read something i'd said in an interview about not liking macho bass players who played too many notes. He had taken it personally, and was all like,''Hey was that me you were talking about?!''.As if the pit itself wasn't bad enough.'' |
