Right, there's been three posts about it now - aren't Status Quo awesome live? Yes, yes they are. They may have not had a decent song in 30 years (/ever, depending on preference) but they are very good live, oh yes.
Status Quo for indie losers '09 starts here.

I had no idea Glice liked the boogie-rock.

Down Down is a killer tune, but I've never heard anything else by them that is as good as that one.

I'm a fun-loving guy, the Quo are a fun-lovin' band, what's to be surprised at?

In sandwich terms they're utterly rock solid. A minimum of garnish, sensible strength cheese, proper crusts. Unspectacular but entirely dependable in terms of getting the basics absolutely right. Pret a Manger can only dream of creating anything this necessary.

"Sensible strength cheese"? Demonrail, that is pure uncut genius, sir.
I like the apocryphal story that Ben Dover once drummed for the Quo....

I know he was the lead singer with Journey. The Quo connection sounds right but is, alas, as you say, apocryphal. As are the rumours that he once played the spoons for Terminal Cheesecake.

I can't believe I've never heard that Ben Dover used to drum for the Quo. I'm totally spreading that one.

He never did, but spread with extreme prejudice nonetheless.
The Journey bit was a joke. Seriously though, he was Keyboardist for two bands in the 80s: La Rox and Batchelor of Hearts. Then he played drums for the Ian Mitchell Band - a sort of Bay City Rollers offshoot (interesting porn connection there I suppose). |

Well there's always the one about Shaggy having no cock following a landmine incident while he was in the army.

No? Really? You can tell, can't you?
Did you know that Rachel Stevens has webbed toes? That's an actual, bona-fide fact.

Sounds like a conflation of that story about the porn star with a 'hoof' (which really is a bona fide troof). They actually look quite similar
