Lets say that you can never listen to Sonic Youth ever again. However, your given a book with all the lyrics to all the songs SY ever written. Without the music or vocals, which song would mean the most to you? Are there any that you would change your opinion on, like if you really loved the lyrics to a song but hated the vocals?

P.S. - Does anyone else jump when they listen to Freezer Burn/I Wanna Be Your Dog and the Iggy Pop cover suddenly kicks in?

in the kingdom #19, for one. i used to listen to it over and over when i was doing my homework for 'intro to poetry' for whatever reason - the imagery is cool as fuck. expressway, too - "we're gonna find the meaning of feeling good, and we're gonna stay there as long as we think we should." le sigh.

i dunno. sonic youth kind of led me to pay more attention to the music instead of the lyrics.
