lee ranaldo, midi festival, acoustic set

Hi there
brand new on the forum , i was at Lee acoustic gig last night in france ( no taping sorry)
He plays a really amazing set , with acoustic guitars , effects pedals and afender amp
set list
- new song ( "Lost" ??)
- Hey Joni
- Eric's Trip
- Lee #2 ( lee called it "letter to Tom")
- Rats
- Karen revisited

the new song was a long one ,really melodic, great track ( hope it's gonna be on a record). Lee said he wrote it last week
the 2 daydreamnation tracks were really mindblowing, played slower than the original, lee mixed his guitar parts with some Thurston's one. Eric's trip was more pop, a nice surprised. Then we've got an unexpected Lee number 2 !!.
after this one, He's got some tuning problem with one of the guitars ( the guy in charge of it fucked up a little bit apparently) so a break happened before "rats" ( lee said " I'm a Nazi tuning tonight" :-) ) and he stop two times during the song
then lee apologized because he played long tracks and he could not play everything he prepared for tonight and then finished with, for me, the highlight of the set a really amazing "Karen Revisited" , even including noise part
i discussed really briefly with lee after the show ( he was signing his new book), he told me he's really enjoy the gig and his got 6 more songs to play (!!!) , he didn't notice when he rehearsed than his set was longer than the time he got on stage for the festival :-)
Anyway it was a great moment ( even if the other bands on the bill was not really interesting)

Yes. Many of us would love to have a chance to see a similar performance (hint hint, more acoustic dates, pretty please).

Thanks for the review, it would indeed be lovely to have a chance to be in a show like this. Looking forward to the announcements of more live dates, and since some countries (like mine, for instance) are damned enough to not have any chances of nice shows like this, I'm hoping at least a bunch of live recordings will make the rounds.
