the thing si they will have to maintain their mental health. they can give them food and water but maintaining sanity after being underground for 2-3 weeks, and being told "it will take about 4-5 more weeks to get you guys out"

Send them down some sleeping pills so they get some adequate sleep. What a shame the mine owner is already planning to declare bankruptcy as soon as they get out. Given he was already warned it wasn't safe now let's avoid loosing my money. To bad he isn't in there with them.

This is when people like me who question the existence of a God, pray to God anyways just in case. God be with them!!!!

they must all get to a 35 inch waist so they can fit into the hole they will all be pulled out of. claustrophobia! it takes several minutes to lower food down,. imagine how long they will have to wait in the dark of a 36 inch diameter tube...

and they are NOT telling them how long they will be down there BTW. It will take at least a month and a half more to drill the rescue shaft.

I heard yesterday that some of the overweight workers may have lost around 19 lbs. so far...

They had survived the previous weeks by sharing food. each one got a spoonful of canned tuna, a spoonful of milk, and a tiny bit of water I think A DAY. They rationed it for themselves before they were discovered. messed up man.

*edit* today the Chilean officials finally decided to tell the miners they will be down there for at least another two months....maybe 4
