I don't know Beck's version and I haven't heard the original in a long time but that sounds brilliant

I love John Martyn, but I'm not very familiar with him, I liked Solid Air, heard it on a compilation. Wonder where would be a good place to start with him...

me and my new band will definitively KILL the new Folk movement. thurston's asshole will bleed. all these folksy fucks will go back to the bargain bin at the half price books with their stupid shit. it is time to bring forth the true rock again for the world to gaze upon it.

I like to rock out and folk out equally.
My amplifier is taller than I am, but I don't always have to use it. |

That's funny. I listen to a lot of folk music, but I won't touch S&G with a ten foot pole. |

Bless The Weather is great too, as Curtain said.
give 'Head and Heart' a listen Rob, some fierce acoustic playing and dont forget Sonic Youth owe alot to people like Joni Mitchell and David Crosby so id refrain from calling it 'stupid shit' |

I would have thought Rob might like something like Comus, what with their writing about subjects like malicious woodland spirits bent on stealing hymens from girls and such. That shit is pure evil with nary an amplifier in sight.

sonic youth owe nothing MUSICALLY to joni mitchell or david crosby. they are just fans.
I have never heard of Comus. i can listen to S&G because I grew up with my mom playing it.

Lee began using open tunings because of Joni Mitchell and another musician who I'm not sure of (I think it was Neil Young). |
