Hmm.. I searched on here, and I could've sworn there was a tangerine dream thread, but there doesn't appear to be one.

I love krautrock, but never listened to them except for a few tunes. I think its their name that never really appealed to me.

Basically, the first 5 or 6 are all absolutely essential. Phaedra is the essential one, but Zeit and Stratosfear are good too. Didn't you say you liked Klaus, al?
I should probably make a classic album post for him anyway..

Yeah I know, that's why I said they're a band I should love. I also really love Manuel Göttsching's work (solo and Ashra) so I don't udnerstand why I don't like Tangerine Dream... But yeah, I'll give them another try.

I fell asleep listening to them stoned last week. They're perfect for that sort of thing. "Electronic Meditation", especially.

tangerine dream from "electronic meditation" to "ricochet" are one of my favorite bands of all time. "zeit" is my undisputed favorite album of all time. they lose me slightly from "stratosfear" till "tangram" (though those run of albums are still pretty good) and then just went to complete shit after that.
