It's a crime that a band this good should have it's records go out of print but thankfully it's being solved...

The band has launched a web store for the vinyl reissues of Today, On Fire, and This Is Our Music. All three albums are available in various different pricing tiers, from the $9.99 single-album digital downloads to the $79.99 all-three-albums super vinyl deluxe / digital download / T-shirt package. The reissues, which will ship on July 6, come with bonus tracks and music videos.

Talk about this awesome news and/or your fav album (Today) by the trio

I believe there was a thread about this a while back but who cares?

Picked up the Today reissue because that was always the album from them I never had in physical form. It's so cool to finally hold it in my own hands. Putting the bonus discs with them is an excellent idea.

I'm torn between which one I love more; Today or On Fire. I think TiOM is vastly underrated though.... That has some of my favorite Galaxie songs on it.

Perhaps I'll pick up the other two on record store day....

Yeah, I think my girlfriend gets bored by them too, she just doesn't want to admit it.

To each their own though.

Given the music you are so into, that surprises me. You seem to be all over melodic spacey guitar rock with moody themes, and they are one of the best in that realm.

Yes, maybe I should give them a second chance.

I love On Fire and Today, such beautiful albums. Maybe I'll pick one or two of the reissues up.

While waiting for Torn Curtain to get back to us with his views, anybody here a fan of Dean's post Galaxie 500 band Luna? I think they are great in their own right.

My favorites from them are probably Penthouse and Lunapark.

Luna is better the galaxia 500 in mine opion.. But they have some epic songs but all their three albums are a blend between great tracks and filler for me.
