While looking through old audio cassettes, I found some that my parents and their friends made in the 80s. I have ripped them to mp3 and have uploaded because I think these old recordings are really cool. Sorry that they're a bit rough, keep in mind they've been sitting in my house for about 20 years. Give them a listen, and tell me what you think. I'm also going to put some videos I've found on youtube. Their music is vaguely country-ish garage rock, I guess. |

it's not bad, gave it a very quick listen just now, will give it some more time tomorrow. Like the last track, doesn't sound like eighties at all, more like flowerpower sixties
Was hoping that Sail Away was a Neil Young song, but it isn't. Would have fitted them well though

Well, most of it was written in the 60s and 70s. My parents are huge Neil Young fans, but Sail Away is an original. My dad writes songs constantly. In fact, my dad is working on mixing his next album of his originals and Sail Away is one of the songs he's having me listen to today. It's kind of weird that he has all these old songs he's recording and yet he's still writing and recording new ones.
