Well, you could listen to the radio while cycling/gardening.

i vote gardening, i did the garden last night before the Man U match and i tell ya it put me in right good mood, made me a little thirsty also which came in handy as i was downing them 6 cans of Heineken that were winking at me from the fridge.
maybe have the footy on the radio in the background as you do the garden?

I'm afraid you could be right: West Ham is the sort of team we can usually be relied upon to slip up against. It's the sort of match that I get very frustrated watching in the pub, so I prefer to listen to it on the radio.

I gardened - cutting back some ivy to be precise.
I was going to go in and listen to the football on the radio as well, but it got dark so late that I'd missed the entire first half before I realised it was time for me to go in and have my tea. |

I never used to be a big fan of gardening, but it's something I now have to do, and it's growing on me. The garden in our new house is so overgrown that I can go mad cutting stuff back and get to see a result quite quickly, so it feels quite rewarding. I've been banned from flower beds though, for fear that I will pull up more flowers than weeds.

I never have done any gardening. Since I never lived in a house. What is it like to live in a house?

Much the same as living in a flat (an apartment), except there are stairs and a garden. More room to move about in, I guess.
It sounds silly, I know, but after six years of living in a flat, one of the most exciting things about moving to a house was actually going upstairs to go to bed, rather than just moving to another room. |
