yeah so this is me. ive been making tape jams for a while now. starting to record about 8 hours of tapes onto my computer so i can edit it and add vocals. at the moment its pretty primitve using fruity loops a bit but put thru EXTREMELY hissy tapes.
i want to call my first peice "treble mines" because thats what it sounds like. im getting a really old sound of these tapes, like a really old hissy shaky over loud tv recording. so basically what im wondering is what kind of cool and cheap effects are easy to do on audio software and are there any cool programmes people recommend so i can learn how to edit this stuff and put it thru different effects and isolate certain parts of the sound and all that? cheers. my set up at the moment is- theremin crafter cruiser with a new humbucker - drum sticks stuck under the strings and 2 screwdrivers to beat on it sds 5 distortion pedal (amazing) big muff old 20 watt amp electric violin tape noise and some vocals 5 peice acoustic drum kit fruity loops ive done a lot of jams and messin about so far and i plan to be able to upload a 30 minute peice that is nearly finishe here soon. does anyone else here do anything similar? |

Delay or wah or delay and wah are commonly used on theramins. But it's a gorgeous enough sound without if you ask me.
