Old school, or whatever.
I'm not bragging. Part of why I'm so retro has to do with what I grew up with and am used to. Part of it has to do with this thing I've had almost all my life against technological change, especially change that just seems to be about change for change sake, trendiness. Therefore, I hated Walkmans, I hated the CD revolution, and I hate iPods. But here is how retro I am currently: 1. I prefer LPs over CDs. 2. I actually use a Walkman radio/cassette player. 3. I make mix tapes (as in cassette). 4. I use a cell phone that is more than 3 years old and looks like a walkie-talkie compared to everyone else's. 5. I like to go to movies in a movie theater, and the best ones are not in the mall but the ones you walk into off a city street (very hard to find anymore though). 6. I have never downloaded music. |

My room's completely retro.
Old TV with wood paneling. Old alarm clock w/ a tape player in it - wood paneling. Record player. 1993 Chevy Cavalier - ghetto. My boyfriend makes me mixed tapes. Vintage is always the best. They always are just for the sheer fact that if it's still around, you know it won't fail you now. Props to that cell phone, I've always wanted to find a block - just because I want cancer that bad. Ha.

I'm kinda retro, I suppose. But I still embrace some of the modern technological advances. I use computers for the internet, I like dvd's (but I'm not all up in the air about it, it's just a cool pregression in film technology), I have a cd player, but I fucking hate Ipod's just because they are so trendy. I think it's pretty interesting to be able to fit hundreds of song on a little plastic thing the size of your palm, but I'm also a huge proponent of albums and records. I wear old, ripped clothes and I have long, ratty hair. I don't,like whole lot of modern technology and I hate the modern music trends. Theymake me sick to my stomach.

I've been out of the technological loop my entire life. I'm always years behind on things, like DVDs, which took a while for me to acknowledge the existence of. That's not "retro" by any stretch of the imagination. It's much closer to laziness/apathy.
My room doesn't really have the look of any particular time period. It's just very, very cluttered.

Possibly. It is hard to be a hermit and live in Minneapolis. You should move to like Sunberg or Bird Island.

I'm SUPER old school.
1. I drive a horse-drawn carriage, not a car. 2. I wear a tophat and coattails. 3. I carry a pocket watch that I wind up daily. 4. I have one of those looking glass things on a handle, that you hold up to one eye when you can't see very well. 5. My name is Jedediah. 6. I frequently wander around at night with a lantern. 7. I use an abacus, not a calculator. 8. I only drink milk that taken fresh from cows by farmhands. 9. I named my children by opening a Holy Bible and randomly pointing at words. 10. I believe the earth is flat, and that it is the center of the universe.
