have you ever cured your own? I was encouraged to do so by the butcher at central market since what I consider a bacon rasher is not the same as in the USA or Canada..
If you have, what other charcuterie have you attempted? Tips etc. Did you use insta cure or celery juice? |

Merzbow has a track that sounds like bacon frying... through a distortion pedal.

Not a problem! I first had it in a popular vegan restaurant in a BLT, and later found out the "B" was coconut bacon. I'm sure it's great in salads too. |
Tofu can be pretty much anything, it's something that's really dependent on how it's flavored and cooked. Fake meats can be weird. They're hit or miss, but always odd in nature. And fish is uber healthy, moreso than bacon . Is it more difficult to eat higher protein foods (beans, nuts, cheese) with your eating disorder, or is it any food in general? anorexia food in general scares me, but i have to eat. i love cheese and nuts. some days that is all i will eat is a small piece of cheese and a handfull of almonds. i was an exercise freak about a year ago. with work I don't have the time any more like i used to so unburned calroies make me worry. i actually dropped about 15 lbs when i stopped working out.
Yeah, that's a good example of a scenario where I lean more on the meat side. All beings live and die and death is inevitable. By raising him/her, it gets a good life, you get to eat healthily without all the shit in it, and it's not supporting the evil meat companies. It's just hard to let go when they pass . Did you grow up in the country? I am cuntry bred big time. We always had gardens we had to work in during the summer. My mom would can the vegetables and make jams and relishes. we had chickens rabbits and the pig i earlier mentioned. even a rooster once. my house was just like the trailer they lived in in that movie Raising Arizona except out in the middle of swampy woods. I actually bought the place from my dad and live there now
....
