"What are those other things around his power book?", well: on the left is an laCie rugged external hard drive, on the right its an interface, and on the top it's a black Korg nanoKontrol.
"What pedals is he running his EMS synthi through?" the big pedal is the moogfooger MF-104Z Analog Delay "Can anyone tell what pedals Jim is using?" A crybaby on the left, then i think it's a ?Ibanez AD80 Analog Delay? or 'Maxon OD-9 Overdrive? |

hmmm that effect chain in those dream aktion unit photos is abit different than what he had in sonic youth (check the gearography page on this site), i also can see the Boss Octave OC-2 behind the mic stand in that pic next to the craybaby wah, not sure what the others are from those shot angles, they kinda look like boutique/custom pedals or EH pedals though.

is the moogerfooger mf-104z really worth its hilarious amount of money I am asking myself everytime I see one. yes, pretty long analog-delay time, but isnt the sound pretty clean? or is it just my humble opinion after the few chances to hear one in action

Great work detective crew.
But the real question is? Did he pre-damage his gear or was the wear and tear done on stage....
