Mark Ibold silly, he's the touring (main) bassist. sometimes Kim plays as well, on songs she sings he plays, others they both play. (he was in Pavement)

this is not new news at all, but i guess people still don't know these things... though i still question the band for doing this move. though it was quite noticable to see that Mark was actually playing specific guitar parts in Rats (might be mimicking Lee's parts though) when i saw them last nite.
