I'm surprised that there isn't a thread on this already. Love songs have a wide range as it's probably the most covered theme in music.
What are your all-time favorite love songs?

The Cure - Love Song
A perfect encapsulation of commitment and longing in roughly 4 minutes.

Agreed about The Cure, that's one of the best love songs ever; It fitting deserves its title.
Other ones I can think of: "The Only One" by The Black Keys (Kind of a sad/happy love song. I struggle to ever listen to it to this day because it was always reminds me of an ex girlfriend.) "Cotton Crown" by Sonic Youth "Drain You" by Nirvana "47" by Sunny Day Real Estate "Out Go The Lights" by Spoon ~Jeremy~

Ah yes - Neil and his "falsetto" - the sound he ultimately perfected for his "After The Gold Rush" album. Good to hear this again (after all this time)

Not Brainbombs, obviously
I dont know how to define a love song, as a song about love or a song that evokes love. Youre my best friend Queen

I think Lou Reed's cover of "This Magic Moment" is pretty much the perfect love song to me. |
