As I write this, I'm playing track 3 of SYR 3. My 68-year old dad came in about 10 minutes ago to sit down and relax. I told him I would turn it off if he wants me to, so he can watch TV. He said no, that's OK. Then, it got really loud, and I went to turn it down for him, and he said no, I like this!

Yes, we're talking about a man who doesn't like any rock music from later than the 50's.

Dood that is a sweet story.
Syr8 was playing in the car once with my dad, he didn't say anything till mats Gustafson started playing the sax.....then yeh...he just asked "what is this?" |

very sweet story indeed
I once had the guts to propose to my theatre director (who is the perfect mix between a hippy and an aristocrat and generally goes for ethnic or classical music) to listen to Female Mechanic 'coz I wanted to make a theatre piece out of it. We were driving in my car and she kept silent for the whole song. The song was not over when I parked and the radio automatically went off. Julia (my director) turned it on again and listened with her eyes closed til the end. After a long silence she just said "They can surely create atmospheres". We worked on it for half a year or so but we ended up never making the piece. Yet. |
