It's pretty complex and it involves a couple of sentences about the Noize Konspiracy collective I'm involved in!
"Sound-wise interesting is the up-coming lo-fi noise collective which releasies the compilation series Noize Konspiracy. The project involves a plethora of start-up noise and hardcore electronics producers with a special interest in binge drinking, bad taste, irony and musical satire." http://easterndaze.net/post/92668410...islavas-sonics Special interest in binge drinking. I'm proud.

Indeed. but these bands where way more appreciatet outside of germanies borders. almost exactly like the whole krautrock thing. 99% of the germans of my age dont know who Can were...Amon Duül? never heard, Cluster, Faust? Nope
the awareness of the krautrock bands dies with the last generation. And for most of them it was a strange variation to hippie music. they dont know what kind of musical culture they were and still are. ( I am talking bout the whole population, not some big city-inner circle scenes of course) Blixa Bargeld is medium known under the peoples which are in the age of my parents, but more for his extroverted look then for his music ("ah, thats the dude who made money with making noises" << is the reaction if they know him). not to speak of my generation, again. the german mass population doesnt care for music culture. they listen to the radio, got one or two favourite bands from their youth and thats it in most cases. "classic" is another cup of tea, and is spread around widely in nosey, "sophisticated" circles. the sound made by young people is (cheesy, bad) gangsta hip hop, house // minimal. and some student rock alike bands. that to scratch the surface of a pretty subjective view on germanies music culture
