Get both Isn't Anything and Loveless. They're very different but are two masterpieces.
Isn't Anything is more melodic, less blurry, and has really fantastic tunes Loveless is about the atmosphere, and the general album feeling. It's like a cotton trip, you're flying in another dimension for 50 minutes |

Tis true, but I left my "Oscar Wilde witty repartee" answer book at work.
Damn.

The MBV/Poison comp album rocks. "Talk Dirty to Me When You Sleep" is their best song.

I think after Wikipedia, just go out and take a chance. Let fate decide if now is the time to start listening to _______.

ok, a serious answer to the question..
loveless- my favourite album of all time.... isnt anything.. awesome album the 4 creation singles (realise / feed me / glider (both long and normal versions)/ tremelo) contain incredible tracks, some of mbvs best songs were bsides , see slow, cigarette in my bed, honeypower, etc.... ecstacy and wine- quite good but wait to hear the others first this is your bloody valentine- only for the completists... its fairly muck, poor sisters of mercy/jamc goth thing... get it for posterity only... |

A serious one too, I guess.
www.markprindle.com Go to "my bloody valentine" reviews. While he rates some of their albums a little higher than I would, I think he also clearly defines what he does and doesn't like about the albums pretty well.. in an entertaining way.. |

I'd like to be serious as well... get LOVELESS. If yr content, then just stop there. If yr still itching, check out ISNT ANYTHING.
If you really need more MBV, then continue on to the EP's and stuff, but save THIS IS YOUR BLOODY VALENTINE for absolute last purchase. |
