Don't You Want Me - The Human League.
I worked in a factory for 18 months and we had to listen to a local radio station every day and they played this song at least twice a day EVERY day. Although strangely enough I started to really like Shania Twain for the same reason. |

Oh and that new country song that is just "Swing batta batta, swing batta batta swing!" over and over. That is pure death.

Le'see I'll toss a vote to anything from the shrek soundtracks. Namely, accidentally in love and the smash mouth cover of "im a beliver". These two songs play back to back on a cd at work that also has such head smashers as walking on sunshine, love shack, and perfect day. No not lou reed... hoko. "it's a perfect daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay nothing can get in my way. yadda blah. i drive around with all my friends in my mercedes benz." Goddamnt i hate teenage mall bitch music.

"Dancing in the Dark" by Bruce Springsteen***
"We Built This City" by Starship (predictable choice, I know) "Honey Pie" by the Beatles "Everybody Have Fun Tonight" by Wang Chung*** "Summer of 69" by Bryan Adams*** "Paradise City" by Guns n Roses ***denotes songs that in the past I have been forced to listen to at work over the public address system... EVERY. FUCKING. DAY. |

I'm inclined to agree, especially on the first, because it's super. As for the Cure, it doesn't really bother me when people insult them, because I am at the stage where I listen to the Cure but I pretend I don't because they are just so goofy.

"Friday I'm In Love" is a godawful piece of shopping-mall crap. Makes my teeth hurt. The Cure have made some of my favorite music ever, but this one is HORRIBLE.

Pornography is one of the greatest LPs I have ever heard. I bought the Simply Vinyl 180g reissue a few years back, and it was well worth it. I had owned it for many years already, but it sounded SO GOOD in this form.
No other record I have heard sounds like that one. |

It's one of those records that feels like going to mass when you put it on.A kind of ritual that you treat yourself to every couple of years and look forward like an old friend.
