Heroes one and all
Wed Jan 16 2008, 23:45 Havant and Waterlooville face the unimaginable prospect of a day trip to Anfield next Saturday to face European football giants Liverpool in the fourth round of the FA Cup. Tonight’s replay with Swansea City saw the Hawks beat the League One leaders 4-2, taking an unassailable lead as early as the fourth minute when Richard Pacquette pressured defender Gary Monk into heading the ball into his own net. Jamie Collins and Rocky Baptiste followed to put the Hawks into an unthinkable 3-0 lead, before Guillem Bauza’s 20 yard strike pulled one back for the Swans six minutes from the break. The Hawks’ lead looked set to diminish further before half time when Bauza was sent tumbling in the box, but keeper Kevin Scriven pulled off an immaculate match-turning save to deny Leon Britton’s spot kick. The visitors did manage to pull back another goal straight after the restart when Jason Scotland swept home an Andy Robinson cross, but Tom Jordan’s 64th minute header ensured the Hawks will remain in dreamland for another round yet. Oh, you beauties!!!!! One of the best football matches I've ever been to. The atmosphere at that match outdid just about any premiership stadium you might care to mention. Given half a chance I'll be up at Anfield for the fourth round, and back at Havant when we bring them scousers back down for the replay |

Ones got to go, we wouldnt be looking at Fred if something wasnt being lined up for one of them. I suspect Berbatov will stay then go to Man U at the end of the season for big monaaaay or we'll sell Bent to pay for his wages.

I thought I might find you here.
Well done, but don't get too excited, there's still the final to play, and you know who that could be against. How many times is it that you've beat us in the last 15 years? Although all those wins have been in the League Cup, so I suppose you have that as an omen. |

Well, beating the Arse has been coming, we've bested them in quite a few games over the last few seasons and just not come out on top. And we had you last season in the league and scored 3 against you in the cup at home. Plus if Ledley (Better than Carragher, Rio, Woodgate, whoever you care to mention except Terry) is fit and working with Dawson like he did last night we'll keep Chelsea to 1 goal.

some game! i couldnt believe what i was seeing and its not like the arse put out a poor side of kids or anything. spurs hammered them, destroyed them to a point where the ref intervened in 2 arseboys fighting with each other. they fell apart and it was great! ramos has done wonders with the defence as well, we looked strong and steady even under a lot of pressure...... amazing game, probably the finest spurs match ive witnessed in 25 years following the club....
BRING ON UNITED NOW! |

I do think that if Ledley was fit at the start of the season things would have been very different, its the same set of players (Bar Cerny) as Jol had. I tend to think MJ got a bad deal. And yeah, it wasnt the kids because they had Fabregas (i know he is a kid but hes a first teamer) on for an hour. But Im starting to disbelieve this Fabregas hype, i think Adebayor is the one who really does it for them. If Wenger started with Adebayor i think the game would have been different. Of course, we would have still won, but its nice to think Wenger fucked up.

we really need a good strong midfielder. we are lacking there. a mate of mine is just home from the game, he is a spurs fan, he said it was a surreal experience watching spurs rightly trounce the arse. he met chimbonda, keane and jenas after the game. totally good guys he said.
as regards fabregas, he is an awesome player but obviously cant hack the pressure yet, and i mean yet! adebayor, he is special. a player kanu could have been! |

Bloody hell! With my Havant and Waterlooville (bobble) hat on, at 2-1 up and five minutes to half time, I seriously thought that history's greatest ever giant-killing was actually going to happen.
I wish the BBC had shown that match instead of the drivel that my "proper" team was involved in. |
